July 2, 2025 The North Florida Chapter SCI helped give 3,000,000 Argentina Peso ($2,500) to The Las Lajitas Salta Argentina Municipal Hospital. The hospital serves a rural community in Argentina and is surrounded by small family farms. The much-needed funds were appreciated by the Hospital. Pictured is Las Lajitas Doctor Gustavo Segovia, North Florida Chapter Past President Tommy Powell, his daughter Virginia (also attended the 2024 SCI convention), and his brother Fitz.

The North Florida SCI Chapter was proud to award US Congressman John Rutherford (CD 5) their Legislator of the Year Award for his work defending hunting, conservation and fishing rights in North Florida and for the Nation. Congressman Rutherford worked for 41yrs for the Jacksonville Sheriff office and was elected Sheriff for several terms. He is a big sportsman and has won the US Congressional Clay tournament for 5 years. He is a big supporter of the North Florida SCI Chapter and has attended several of their events.
